Every month we get together with Craig's family for FHE and to celebrate the birthdays for that month. Every one gives $1.00 to the birthday people. We put Payden's in his birthday package and this is a picture of him holding up his cash. Love that smile!!!

MOYHERS DAY MAY 9th 2010

Wow - I looked so forward to mothers day . I could hardly wait for the day to get here. Payden called right when he said he would - at 7:30 P.M. And just for the record - I only got a tiny bit teary eyed at first but I did NOT cry. I did better than I thought I would. Payden sounded so good, so happy, and so positive. He loves his area and he really likes his companion. He said he also likes all of the Elders in his zone. They get together on P-Days and play volley ball.Payden talked about May 6Th. They went to the Seattle temple for the yearly temple trip. Half of the mission went on one day and the other went the next day. He said that they were all in the chapel and the President of the temple and the mission President both spoke to the the missionaries. He said it was so good. The mission President asked all of the missionaries to bring two questions to the temple with them and to fast and pray about them before hand. One question was personal and the other was something to do with their area or about the mission. Payden said that both of his questions were answered that day. He loved that day. He talked to me first, McKell, Tammy, Matt, Calie Jo, Craig and then me again. It was so good to just hear his voice and the enthusiasm about missionary work. He said that time is going by fast for him. He just wants to concentrate on his mission. He sounds the same in some ways and kinda like a different kid in other ways. I was very happy to hear him and to know that he is happy and doing so well. This has been such a blessing in our lives - for all of us. We love and appreciate him. He has a good heart. He said that he and his companion are working hard and that they are diligent and practicing faith. Only 7 more months until Christmas and I can talk to him again!!!!!!!!!!

4/26/10

HEY FAM!!!! guess what! I am staying in Firgrove!! Crazy huh? I am really excited. And Sanders is staying too. We are just starting to get really close so I'm glad he is. Only four missionaries are leaving the zone out of 16 of us. Crazy. I am excited though. I love the missionaries in this zone. We are all super close. So I have something I need to tell you. Now don't get mad though ha ha. Our bikes got stolen on Friday night. We LOCKED them up to go finding and when we came back they were gone. Someone cut the chain. But don't worry we are taken care of. This guy let us borrow some bikes. Then I have insurance on mine so I just need to call CTR bikes and they will send me another one. And this other guy in the ward offered to buy at least one of us a bike. So it will be okay. So the ward is trying to help more to find us a place to live. They are announcing it in church. So on mothers day I guess I will call around 7:30. So be ready! Well I need to get going. Thanks for everything I love you guys tons!!

Dear family,
Hey guys how are you? Things are going good her. Not much has been going on. We are just trying to stay busy. The problem is that we are not getting referrals from members. Do you remember Elder Connolly from the MTC? He is in the zone next to us and we share the same church building so I see him allot. Any way, his ward is so excited about the work they are having baptisms right and left because they get so many referrals. So we have been working hard to find people ourselves. I have retracted our area almost three times now because it is so small. The perimeter of it is 1.3 miles by 2.3 miles. So funny story. Sunday night I got a flat after our last appointment. On the walk home we found a frog and caught it and took it home. We only kept it for 24 hours though. . We let it go the next night. We named it Roadkill. What time do you have church? I need to know so I can call when you are home for mothers day. So on May 5Th we are taking our once a year temple trip . I am pretty excited. The Seattle temple is really pretty. I hear the Vancouver temple is pretty small. Families from our ward have gone. This week we are doing a zone shift. That's when one companion goes to another area in the zone and the other stays. So we just get switched around. I am going to Eaton ville which is at the bottom of our zone. I am pretty excited because I'll be with one of my favorite missionaries. Elder Cook. Well I need to get going. Everything is fine here. I have plenty of money and my gear is holding up. I don't really need anything. Thanks for all you do! I love you guys! Love Elder Beus
