Wow - I looked so forward to mothers day . I could hardly wait for the day to get here. Payden called right when he said he would - at 7:30 P.M. And just for the record - I only got a tiny bit teary eyed at first but I did NOT cry. I did better than I thought I would. Payden sounded so good, so happy, and so positive. He loves his area and he really likes his companion. He said he also likes all of the Elders in his zone. They get together on P-Days and play volley ball.Payden talked about May 6Th. They went to the Seattle temple for the yearly temple trip. Half of the mission went on one day and the other went the next day. He said that they were all in the chapel and the President of the temple and the mission President both spoke to the the missionaries. He said it was so good. The mission President asked all of the missionaries to bring two questions to the temple with them and to fast and pray about them before hand. One question was personal and the other was something to do with their area or about the mission. Payden said that both of his questions were answered that day. He loved that day. He talked to me first, McKell, Tammy, Matt, Calie Jo, Craig and then me again. It was so good to just hear his voice and the enthusiasm about missionary work. He said that time is going by fast for him. He just wants to concentrate on his mission. He sounds the same in some ways and kinda like a different kid in other ways. I was very happy to hear him and to know that he is happy and doing so well. This has been such a blessing in our lives - for all of us. We love and appreciate him. He has a good heart. He said that he and his companion are working hard and that they are diligent and practicing faith. Only 7 more months until Christmas and I can talk to him again!!!!!!!!!!
